Vogue is set to launch in India on September 22nd with Priya Tanna as editor. According to her, for a long time Vogue was a bit of an elusive dream for the Indian woman and Vogue India will decode trends from a Marc Jacobs show to highlighting trends in Bollywood movies, thus making it relevant for the Indian reader.

The inaugural issue is Bollywood-themed featuring style advice from Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta as well as a write-up by Sukhetu Mehta about the Bollywood film industry. The cover itself features Australian model Gemma Ward (which was also on the cover of the first Vogue China back in 2005), Priyanka Chopra, Monikangana, Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu and Laxmi Menon

Vidya Balan has never exposed as much - but in the first look of "The Dirty Picture", inspired by late southern sex icon Silk Smitha's life, she has painted a perfect picture in an itsy-bitsy red blouse matched with luscious red lipstick.

The actress stands undaunted even as three men - Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi - get too close for comfort in the poster, which was released on social networking sites Friday.

"The poster and the logo of the film has a very 1980s feel to it because the movie is set in that period.

We will be launching the first trailer of 'The Dirty Picture' in Mumbai August 30," Girish Johar, head of acquisition and distribution, Balaji Motion Pictures, told over the phone from Mumbai.

The film is set to release Dec 2, the birth anniversary of Silk Smitha, who became a symbol of sensuality after featuring in bold and semi-nude roles. Later, financial crises and personal problems took a toll on her life.

It is this moving story that has been captured in this latest offering by Ekta Kapoor.

In tune with the period that the movie is set in, the Balaji unit has chosen to launch the first trailer at Galaxy, a single screen theatre in Mumbai.

"It is because the movie has the 1980s charm of Indian cinema, we chose not to go to any five star hotel or a multiplex to launch the first teaser. The theatre will be set up in a way that reminds people of good old times," said Johar.

While people from all walks of life are coming out to support Anna Hazare in his fight against corruption, Salina Wali Khan too has joined the fray.

Speaking with a daily, she claimed that she too is a victim of corruption and is supporting Anna Hazare who is sitting on strike at Ramlila Maidan for this very cause.

"My decision is not for gaining publicity. I am not like other models who make controversial claims for grabbing eyeballs. I am not doing it to be famous but for the common people," she said. Salina also has grievances against Delhi police, who she claims has not paid heed towards her complaint. She accused the cops of not doing anything against a female model, who allegedly threatened her over the phone of making an obscene video.

"Delhi police did not take action on my complaint. I am a victim," she said. Salina says Anna is an innocent man, working for the common people and not for his own gain.

"Today everyone is with him because of his honesty and so am I. Today you face corruption at every government office. You will have to pay the babus for every little work to be done. Every one is affected by corruption," she said. Salina also claimed that she went to Ramlila Ground to support Anna on the first day of his hunger strike.

Talking about corruption, Salina says she had to pay Rs 500 to a government official for getting her ration card. She said that this was just one instance and she has faced corruption many times in her life. "Today a person can get a passport on fake documents by bribing the government official. But the person who is in need and is genuine is running form pillar to post. You can't get your work done without paying a bribe," she said.

Salina also says that even though Anna is old, he has awakened the country. "Is he fasting for himself? No! That is why he is getting support from everyone. He has managed to attract people from all religions, caste, creed etc. So, I am supporting him," said Salina.

It’s a known fact by now, that Salman Khan is a jack of all trades. The latest we hear is that the actor is turning into a writer for Dabangg 2.

Rumors has it that Sallu is taking special interest in the Dabangg sequel. He is said to be writing the script of the forthcoming flick.

However, when contacted, Salman denies all the above rumors, saying it is purely his brother, Arbaaz Khan who is working on the script. Not just that. Salman also adds that the script is turning out to be simply mind blowing.
“Arbaaz has penned it (the script) himself and it’s a mind-blowing script,” Salman is quoted to have said.

Salman Khan, these days is very busy with his much awaited flick Bodyguard. After its release, he will start shooting for Ek Tha Tiger with Katrina Kaif.

Dabangg 2 will go on floors only in 2012.

The actress was recently spotted in Bangkok for the shooting of her new Lux ad. Ash looked absolutely stunning in her off-shoulder peach-coloured gown designed by Manish Malhotra. She was glowing and full of energy and excitement.

The mommy-to-be reached the sets on time and was extremely professional. After seeing Ash on the sets everyone was stunned by her glowing face.

Being offered a role previously acted by Amitabh Bachchan, a legend of Indian cinema is surely a scary experience. Anyone would be doubtful to take it up. Hrithik Roshan is no exception.

Like the rest of us, Hrithik grew up watching Amitabh act in different roles.

Acting in the remake of his film, with a comparison bound to occur, can be a strong motivation to say 'NO'. And that's what he said to Karan Johar, the producer of AGNEEPATH when it was first offered to him. But Karan Johar did not give up to Hrithik's denial, asked him to 'At least hear it'.

Karan Malhotra, the director, was asked to go to Spain and narrate the script to him, with a belief that Hrithik wouldn't refuse after hearing about it. Hrithik, the ever considerate and a person who hates waste of time felt guilty about his denial for a movie to his friend Karan and with the director, travelling all the way to Spain for a three hour talk.

As Karan Malhotra started narrating the story, it started drawing Hrithik into its charm. An actor who is known to demand a retake of the shoot if it is not up to his satisfaction, who constantly while on break during shoot continues to rehearse the scenes in mind, had no trouble in imagining this as a future hit.
